How To Get The Best Deal

Hello.  My name is Alan Heath, and I'm an Internet Automobile Salesperson @ Woody Butts Chevrolet In Cochran, Ga.  I've been in the automobile business now for a total of 19 years.  I know that there are websites out there that advises you, the customer, on how to buy a vehicle.  Some of them are good and some of them aren't.  The biggest myth that some customers believe is that they can get a better deal if they can talk with the owner of the dealership or sales manager without involving a salesperson.  I've witnessed customer after customer over the years execute this myth when they bought a car and paid more that what they would've paid had they simply dealt with a salesperson.  To begin with, I've never met  a sales manager that wants to talk with a customer.  Why? A sales manager feels more in control of the sale when they're not emotionally involved.  In other words, the salesperson is the voice of the sales manager during the selling process.
So, how do you get the best deal for your money?  It's simple. From the moment you contact the dealership and begin talking with your salesperson whoever he or she may be make sure you write down their name and remember it. See, the salesperson has a vested interest in you from the get go because this is how we make our living.  A professional salesperson will go right to work for you and won't forget you after the sale.
Another myth about the car business with some customers is that they can talk with a different salesperson than the one they're currently dealing with and get a better price.  This myth is the farthest thing from the truth.  A different salesperson can't sell you the exact vehicle you're looking at with your current salesperson any cheaper than the price you've already been quoted.
